Hurricane Isaias Update

August 4, 2020, 2:00 PM

Our only schedule or program change for the weekend is that we ask that you please bring your own dinner to eat tomorrow night before evening programs. The Dining Hall will not be available to use to cook or heat anything up, so we recommend either picking up some take-out on the way in to Camp or bringing your very own picnic! Food service will begin with breakfast on Thursday morning.

At this time, we are still planning on welcoming participants for Embark this Wednesday, August 5, at Camp Seafarer. Understanding, however, that the storm path may change, we will communicate an official cancellation or delay early evening on Tuesday, August 4 if necessary. Thank you again for your continued partnership.

We continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Isaias and remain committed to keeping you informed about this week’s programming. We will be emailing our upcoming Embark participants (August 5-9) by end of day on Monday, August 3, with next steps and any programmatic or date changes. We remain committed to the safety and well-being of our participants and staff, and remain confident in our Hurricane policies and procedures. Thank you, as always, for your well-wishes, patience, and continued partnership.

Like you, we will continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Isaias over the coming days. At this time, we are still planning on holding Embark Family Camp next week (August 5-9) as scheduled. As always, the safety and well-being of our participants and staff is our number one priority. Our team will be meeting throughout the weekend and will keep you posted on any decisions or programmatic adjustments as they arise.

We remain confident in our Hurricane procedures and have already begun taking the necessary steps to prepare our facilities for the storm.

Please continue to check back here for updates.
