Second Session: Monday, July 19 - Saturday, August 14, 2027

Mariners I*: Sunday, June 20 - Friday, July 2, 2027

Mariners II: Sunday, July 4 - Friday, July 16, 2027

Mariners III: Monday, July 19 - Saturday, July 31, 2027

Mariners IV: Monday, August 2 - Saturday, August 14, 2027

*2026 Starter Campers should not plan to register for this session; Mariners I is typically full when Wave 2 registration begins.

Driven by the mission to support a healthy mind, body and spirit for all, Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer continue to improve practices to create the best environment for staff and campers to develop meaningful relationships and grow in confidence and independence. Over the last two decades, high school and college schedules, sports demands and changing academic requirements have made it difficult for our staff to live and work at Camp for the full 10 weeks of training and programming. We know that staff are the most critical element to delivering a successful program. Data from campers and parents consistently reflects the positive impact of excellent counselors on the camper experience. We are committed to hiring the best staff possible, to providing high quality staff training and to creating a supportive environment for staff to thrive.

In Summer 2027, an additional day will be added to the session break between First Session and Second Session. This additional day is designed to support both our full summer staff and the staff who join us only for Second Session. For full summer staff, the additional day allows for increased rest and recovery as well as the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family mid-summer. For staff arriving after First Session, this adjustment allows for a more robust training experience designed to ensure attention to safety and to create a positive environment for all campers. The additional day also allows for deep cleaning and the ability to address any necessary facilities updates or repairs.

Second Session campers and families will be welcomed by more rested and better-prepared staff, which we anticipate having a positive impact on the Second Session camper experience.

As you make your plans for 2027, please note that Second Session, Mariners III and Mariners IV will start on a Monday and end on a Saturday. While we know that Opening and Closing Days during the work week can be a challenge, all sessions have an arrival or departure day that falls on a weekday. The length of the session will remain unchanged and consistent with First Session.
