Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a successful and fun-filled 2019 at Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer! Our staff and community leapt into action following Hurricane Florence and we are so thankful for all of your support and encouragement as we have rebuilt after the storm. Repairs are well under way and we will be ready and better than ever for the start of our Spring Season in April.
At both Camps, tree removal is almost complete and the follow-up tree pruning is scheduled for next month. Repairs to the roofs at both Camps are almost finished and, as you can see from the photos, remediation of the Camp Sea Gull office is complete and renovation of the front office is underway. Materials for the shoreline restoration at Camp Sea Gull were excavated on site from the “Back 9” of the golf course and have been transported to dry and be placed on the shoreline. At Camp Seafarer, the Boat Repair Facility will be complete with the upcoming replacement of the last of the damaged garage doors. The upper portion of the piers at both Camps are under construction and the barge needed for in-water repairs has been going back and forth between Camps since early December.
Check back here to see our progress and thank you again for your support and encouragement! Here’s to a wonderful 2019!
