The night before Camp is usually one of excitement, jitters and questions. For families who choose to stay overnight in the New Bern area before Opening Day, we host Saturday evening events before the start of each Camp session. This casual, drop-in gathering is designed to get campers and their families ready for Opening Day.
Bring your family to meet Camp Staff, take a picture at the Photo Booth, get to know other campers and families and celebrate the best part of summer. While Camper Socials are open and optional to all campers and families, younger campers typically enjoy this event the most.
This event will be held in Mattocks Hall at the North Carolina History Center at Tryon Palace in New Bern (529 South Front Street, New Bern, N.C. 28652).
Please plan to supervise your children during this event. Animals are not allowed in the venue.
