You are here

Scholastic Support Center

We know this school year will be unique for you and your family and we are here to help. As the landscape of learning evolves, the YMCA is committed to serving you and your children throughout the 2020-21 school year in new and creative ways at locations throughout the region, one of which is right here at Camp Seafarer.

YMCA Scholastic Support Centers are a place where students in grades
K – 8 can go to participate in their remote school or Virtual Academy classes while you work. Our goal is to support your child's educational needs during this challenging time while also delivering enriching experiences, safe social interaction and physical activity to nurture your child's overall health and well-being.

All on-site programming will be adapted to operate in full compliance with local and state health department guidelines and to include social distancing practices. Read more about the safeguards we're putting in place before you come to a YMCA program and while your student is with us.

Keeping You Safe:

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. That's why we're taking extra precautions to protect the health of everyone in our programs and facilities. You can help by following some basic guidelines.

In accordance with CDC recommendations, participants and staff are required to wear face coverings during the program.

Please note, masks with "one-way valves" are not approved by the CDC. Therefore, these types of masks may not be worn to YMCA Scholastic Support Centers. Learn more about how to wear a cloth face covering correctly.
