Registration Window for Open Enrollment for Summer 2023

October 27: For those of you who canceled your 2022 registration, were on the Waitlist, haven’t been back in a few summers, or are new to Camp, or did not register during your Registration Window, we invite you to register for Summer 2023 when open enrollment begins.

If the session of your choice says “Waitlist Available,” we strongly encourage you to sign up for that session. After you finish your registration, you can then call the Camp Office at 252-249-1212 and inform them of other dates your camper may be able to attend. There is continuous movement on the list as we work over the coming months to allow as many children as possible to experience Camp, and we will contact you as space becomes available.

Please be sure to review our Cancellation Policies before applying.

A note regarding Community Health:

A partnership between Camp and parents is and always has been of utmost importance when thinking about the success of a camper’s experience at Sea Gull or Seafarer. We want to partner with you in developing your child’s character, leadership, and skills and in supporting their unique needs and desires. The seriousness with which we prioritize the safety and well-being of our campers and staff has been reflected in our procedures and protocols for decades. We place a tremendous emphasis on forms and getting information about your camper ahead of the summertime.

There is always a chance that your child will need to leave Camp for unforeseen circumstances (illness, behavior issues, injury) and so we are encouraging parents moving forward to think of their Emergency Contact as a Health Proxy: someone who can receive important information or make decisions about a camper in the event we cannot get in touch with a camper’s parents or guardian. This Emergency Contact or Health Proxy is also someone who, within 12-24 hours of receiving a phone call from Camp, would be able to pick the camper up from Camp and either help them recover off-site before returning them to Camp or bring them home for the remainder of the session.  This past summer saw an unprecedented volume of sickness which is what caused the need for so many to recover off-site and for programs to be canceled. While we certainly do not hope for illness at Camp, we continue to be prepared and that is why we need to work in partnership with parents to ensure a safe and successful summer for our individual campers and the community at large.
