Arrival and Departure

  • Camp Seafarer cabin, lit up at night, Arapahoe North Carolina

We have a lot of families arriving and departing Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer throughout the summer. We host Camper Socials on Saturday evenings prior to the Sunday start of Camp. These casual gatherings are designed to get campers and their parents ready for Opening Day. The whole family is welcome. This year we are also hosting parent pick-up receptions on the Thursday night before Closing Days.

Arrival Logistics

You will be assigned an arrival window time between 9 a.m. and noon on your arrival day.  No special transportation will be offered for arrival to Camp this summer. The only way to arrive at Camp is in a car. Campers must arrive with a parent or an adult who has decision-making authority for the child. You will not be permitted to arrive by boat, helicopter, or any other means of transportation.   Parents are welcome to join their campers in their cabins this summer to assist with unpacking.

All campers will undergo an intake screening and are required to submit certain health forms.

Cabin Assignments

When you arrive at the gates of Sea Gull or Seafarer, you'll be greeted by our fun Camp leaders! They will let you know your cabin assignment and point you in the right direction. Once you arrive at your child's cabin, you will meet the counselors, other campers and other parents. We're assigning bunks this year to make move in even easier.

Camp Store

The Camp Store will be open on all Camp Opening and Closing Days this summer for in-person shopping.

We  encourage everyone to also shop online. If you are pre-purchasing any items for your camper, please allow at least two weeks for shipping time.

If you prefer to pick up online Camp Store items at Camp on Opening Day, please choose “Local Pickup” and leave your camper(s)name and session in the notes section. The items will be available for pickup at the camper’s respective Camp store on Opening Day of their session. If the Camp Store is not open on your camper's Opening Day, you can put your camper's name and session in the notes section and it will be delivered to their bunk. This cabin delivery option is only available for Mariners II and Mariners IV.
