My first Camp experience was as a counselor for Y-Life week at Camp Sea Gull. After that week, I knew Camp was a very special place. I kept looking for a way to return, so I worked as a lifeguard for the fall and spring weekends. Then, after my sophomore year at UNC, I worked at Seafarer as a Camp 2 Motorboating counselor and then returned the next year as a Camp 4 Assistant Head counselor. I continued to participate in Camp through Family Camp weekends and Mother/Daughter weekends. My daughter, Macie, has been a Seafarer camper (Starter Camp, Mariners, and Session 1) for the past 7 summers and my son, Hayes, went to Starter Camp at Sea Gull.

Spending time with my family, sitting on the sidelines with my husband, Steve, cheering for our children in their activities, enjoying time with friends and anything outside on a beautiful day.
A veterinarian or a physician.
I loved visiting St John so would definitely go back again, but for a new adventure, I would love to visit Alaska.
I love seeing people of all ages embrace the spirit of Camp. Campers, staff, parents and alumni. We all have a common bond because of our love for this place that gives us a chance to be our best. It is so rewarding to watch friendships grow though unplugged face to face interactions, independence gained by choosing how the day will be spent, courage shown by attempting new and challenging activities, personal growth as campers realize their individual gifts and talents and appreciation gained for the beauty of nature. And the laughter….I love the smiles and laughter.
