Allison Simmons

Personnel Director, Camp Seafarer

Allison Simmons has worked professionally for Camp Seafarer for seven years and previously served as the PR Director for the YMCA of the Triangle. On summer staff, from Raleigh, N.C., she served as a Sr. Counselor, Canoeing Chief, Assistant Head Counselor and Head Counselor.

Allison received her B.A. from Peace College. She and her husband, Jeff (former YMCA Youth Director), reside in New Bern with their three children.

Allison completed her first marathon (RAKTC Team 2011)! She loves Friday night movie night with her family, teaching Sunday School, reading, writing her stand-up comedy routine (with Lydia Warren), time with girlfriends (which supplies her material) and most importantly, being a Christian wife and mom.
