Positions Available
Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer employ staff in a variety of positions throughout the camping season. Requirements can best be described by the time of year the applicant is considering employment.
Full-Time Positions

Summer Positions
The following categories of positions are generally available for the Summer programs:
Junior Counselors must be 17 years old or rising high school seniors.
Senior Counselors must be 19 years old or rising college sophomores.
(Most junior and senior counselors will be assigned to live in and help supervise a cabin and also to teach a skill as part of a camp activity.)
Program Specialists are the age of Senior Counselors and have advanced program skills and certifications. Some programs specialists are also assigned to help supervise a cabin.
Support Staff are at least the age of Junior Counselors, but usually do not live in a cabin. Examples of support staff positions include Food Service, Office, Camp Store, and other similar positions.
Day Camp Counselors must be 16 years old and/or rising high school juniors. Day Camp Counselors will be assigned to a huddle group and will help supervise, lead, and teach a variety of activities.
Camp Nurses must have RN or LPN certifications, and may be employed for full or partial summer positions.
Fall & Spring Positions
The following categories of positions are generally available for Spring and Fall programs:
Full-Time Seasonal Instructors must be 18 years old, preferably with some college experience. An ideal candidate would also have a background in residential camping, outdoor education and group leadership. Instructors plan and deliver programs for school groups, resident camps and adult groups.
Weekend Staff members are at least 16 years old and are responsible for program delivery for a variety of weekend participants.
