Be a Volunteer
Volunteer Opportunities
We love to stay in touch with Camp parents and alumni throughout the year...take a look at
some of the ways people are staying connected to Sea Gull and Seafarer.
We would enjoy having you involved!
Camp Night Host
During the fall and winter, we travel to approx. 40 cities (throughout the U.S.) connecting with
campers, parents, alums and friends of Camp. We need volunteers to either host the camp night in their home or help us find an appropriate location. Camp night hosts will also connect with prospect campers (names provided by Camp as well as by the host) prior to the event to help with attendance. Our camp nights, lasting about an hour from 7pm to 8pm, give people a chance to learn about Camp, talk with Directors, see friends from last summer and hear about what's new for next year.

Spring and Fall Weekends
During the spring and fall, families and other groups attend Camp for programs such as Family
Camp, Y-Guides/Princesses and Y-Life. This is your opportunity to be a staff member again by
volunteering on an activity from Friday night - Sunday lunch.

Summer Sessions (Opening and Closing Days)
We have lots of campers flying in and out of airports as well as riding on chartered buses (Raleigh,
Baltimore, Charlotte, Atlanta) between sessions. We're looking for volunteers to greet campers and talk with parents at airports and chartered bus locations.

We have volunteer team regions in Atlanta, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Charlotte, DC, Richmond, Rocky Mount/Wilson, Charleston and Nashville. Join a team or volunteer on your own.
