Financial Assistance
We believe that everyone benefits from a more diverse Camp community. Our philanthropic mission is to make the Sea Gull and Seafarer experience possible for children and families from all circumstances. Thanks to generous support from our Camp community, we are able to provide camperships to children in the greatest need. And now, thanks to our Grant Committee's guidance, middle class families who may need to stretch their existing dollars are also receiving that "extra dollar" to help bridge a small but difficult gap.

About the Financial Assistance Process
Financial assistance for all programs is awarded on a first come, first served basis. Awards are based on a sliding scale incorporating income and other financial circumstances.
Step #1 - Getting Started
On all of our applications, there is a financial assistance section. You will need to check the box on the application stating, "My child/family will need financial assistance in order to attend camp." You will then need to return the completed application with a $10 deposit.
Step #2 - Completing the Packet
The Camp Development Office will send applicants the following information to be completed:
- Family Information Sheet
- School Reference
- Personal Reference
- Parent Questionnaire
- Camper Questionnaire
- Request of most recent Tax Return (Return must
show child listed as a dependent) - Request of 3 consecutive pay stubs
Step #3 - Receiving the Award
Once you have fully completed and returned the above forms, our Grant Committee will then review the application. The Camp Development Office will then notify you via a letter or phone call of your award.
Please feel free to contact Susan Moores at susan.moores@seagull-seafarer.org or Sallie Ransom at sallie.ransom@seagull-seafarer.org if you have any questions.
