Cabins for Others

The spirit of giving is such an important part of camp life. Cabins for Others, a voluntary, camper-driven program, is a natural extension of our philanthropic mission.

Through this special program, campers create service projects during the school year with the intention to give back to their community as well as raise $25 or more. Participating in Cabins for Others is one of the many ways for campers to live out the values of the Camps' Good Sport Award (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Courage and Integrity) and the Camps' Rules (Listen, Share, Try Your Best and Do What's Right). It takes responsibility to construct a project from beginning to end, to coordinate details that may take free time during the school year, and to organize volunteers who want to be involved. One of the most significant results of our campers' hard work is sharing the Sea Gull and Seafarer experience with someone who could otherwise not afford to attend Camp.

Cabins for Others dollars go into our CampAnnualFund providing direct camperships to campers who may not be able to afford the Sea Gull and Seafarer experience. Knowing that other children have the camp experience because fellow campers choose to share is such a powerful statement about the camp community and about the children and families who love this special place and choose to share it.
