Directors & Staff

The directors of Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer are full-time professionals with extensive backgrounds in resident camping, counseling, child development and character education. The permanent staff serves the camp full time in implementing a comprehensive camping and character development program.

Our influence is only as strong as our role models. Our seasonal staff is comprised of competent, well-trained leaders at activities and in the cabins. They are the keys to a successful camping experience.

Approximately two-thirds of the summer staff return each season, providing continuity of leadership. New counselors come highly recommended and are carefully selected after a comprehensive interview process. Staff are recruited from around the world to enrich the diversity of the camp community. Staff attend a week-long training program and weekly staff meetings to strengthen leadership skills in specific activities and in working with children.
