Sustaining Our Future
Improving Camp for future generations is essential. Thanks to philanthropic and institutional support in recent years, we accomplished more than $11 million in facility improvements. Without relying on tuition fees, we can strech every gift to make Camp accessible for more children and families while improving programs and facilities.
Setting Sail: Character in Action
Setting Sail is the result of a long-range planning process guided by volunteers, donors, parents and Camp staff. This multi-phase capital campaign will support the following improvements during the next ten years:
1. Enhance our premier seamanship program
2. Strengthen our current programs
3. Improve our infrastructure, to better promote the health and safety of our campers
Initial priorities of Setting Sail will focus on strengthening our seamanship program. The initial $4.2 million raised will be used for the following:
| Swim lake enhancements with the addition of asymmetrical pools & splash pads | $1,500,000 |
| Swim lake upgrades with new pump houses, decking, landscaping, & fencing | $725,000 |
| Swim hut renovations with the addition of program space & bathrooms | $625,000 |
| Sail loft & motor repair renovations with multi-use classroom space | $600,000 |
| Boat repair facility renovations to support year-round maintenance | $350,000 |
| Pier improvements & fleet additions | $250,000 |
