Day Camp Creates Possibility

For many of our campers and their families, summer camp is a total immersion experience lasting one, two, or four weeks. One camper explains, “Camp is just like one huge sleep-over that lasts for a month!”

All Clear Racing Sunfish-- how the Camp Annual Fund strengthens our Sea Program

Each and every day during the summer months, halyards of the Sunfish are raised, the engines of the Sea Hunts are revved, and the freedom of the river is at fingertips of every camper. When asked what makes Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer’s seamanship program so great, Summer 2011 Sea Gull Motorboating Chief, Sam Yurow says “One can argue that it is our fleet boats or our tradition of excellence on the sea or the big open water off the foot of the pier.

Why Caroline Gives

Caroline Coln Wall is not only a former camper, former staff member, and a soon to be Camp parent; she is also a donor to the Camp Annual Fund. You may remember her in the 1990s as Camp Seafarer’s Swim Lake Chief, or even Head Counselor of Camp Three.

A Father and Son Say Thank You

Jack loves Camp. . . so much in fact that he has been known to sport his swim band during the school year. Imagine then the tough conversation that the family had when Jack’s father had recently been laid off from a 10 year career with the same organization. “We came to the realization that camp may no longer be an option for our family.

Reflections of Camp

Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer are pleased to post our Reflections of Camp Video that was created during Camp Seafarer's 50th Anniversary Weekend this past October. In this video, hear former campers, counselors, and staff share about what makes Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer such a remarkable place! We hope you recognize some faces in this video and find yourself nodding in agreement to our various alumni that share testimony and memories of their summers at "the best camp of all."

Bunk Buddies-- the Impact that Camp Can Make

“You can’t help but love someone once you know their story” is one of Lexi McBride's favorite thoughts for the day. As a former Head Counselor at Camp Seafarer, Lexi has had countless campers and counselors walk through that slamming screen door on opening day, all of which have left a meaningful impression on her and all of which have come with a story.  Consider this camper’s story as remembered by Lexi. . .

Thank you, Carpenter Family for your gift to the Camp Annual Fund!
