Sea Gull Campers and Counselors Celebrate July 4th

Our Sea Gull community celebrated a great July 4th.  Our "Free Day" was full of many special events.  Our day started with a patriotic Thought for the Day followed by a red, white and blue "Look Sharp Contest" at breakfast.  Our signature BBQ lunch was complete with red, white and blue bug juice and popsicles.  Counselor Aaron Harrington led the camp in our National Anthem.

Sad News from the "Fireball Factory"

The creator of Sea Gull and Seafarer's iconic fireball, Nello Ferrara, passed away this week at the age of 93.

His fireball legend will continue to live on at camp and this summer Fireball Man will help us distribute more than 300,000 fireballs. You might notice that the article does not mention from where he got the original fireball recipe . . . .

Continuing to Rebuild and Serve the Community

Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer are continuing our recovery efforts after Hurricane Irene.  Thanks to the hard work of Mike Askew and the grounds crews, both camps are happy to be hosting fall programs.  Many participants have responded to those in need by donating various items which will be given out at distribution centers throughout Pamlico County.
