Assistant Director of Extended Season
Sea Gull Seafarer
What is your Camp history?

My first summer at camp was in 2000 as a Junior Counselor on Service Corps.

Since then I have held the following positions at camp: Athletics Chief, Day Camp Program Director, Extended Season Staff Member, Land Director, Head Counselor Camp I, Camper Services Coordinator, and the SAIL BVI Trip Leader.

Where were you born?

I was born in Wilmington, NC, but grew up in Louisburg, NC.

Where did you go to school?

Peace College

What are your favorite hobbies?

Being a mom and wife, hiking, playing sports, skiing, boating, and listening to music.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always thought I wanted to be a veterinarian, until I learned how much science was involved.

If you could visit anywhere, where would you go?

That is a difficult question for me because I would like to go most everywhere. I am always wanting to return to South Africa, but some of my other top destinations would be Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and the Polynesian Islands.

What is your favorite part of working at Camp?

The great work and the fun people in our camp community give me energy each day. I love that!
