We are making big moves for Run a Kid to Camp 2018! In an effort to spice things up, we’re changing locations this year, and we’ll be in Hilton Head on February 10, 2018, for the Hilton Head Marathon and Half-Marathon.
Training officially begins on October 1, and thank goodness the first day is a day of REST! The good news is that we have half- marathon and full-marathon training schedules that are designed to give people who are not runners a good place to start. So, if you are starting from zero and wondering how you’ll ever make it 13.1 or 26.2 miles down the road, just move your body 1 mile! The training schedules are meant to fit into your daily life, meaning that you shouldn’t feel overwhelmed by what you need to do each day.
We are excited for a new location this year, and we’re especially excited to think about all the girls who will get to experience Camp next summer because of your efforts. Your commitment to raise $500 will go a long way in building the Seafarer Marathon Endowment, and it will help us continue to send a few campers to Camp each summer.
